Message for foreigners: Test your Montenegrin & get a certificate
The Faculty of Montenegrin Language in Cetinje will be testing knowledge of Montenegrin and issuing certificates to foreigners so that they can get a residence permit and enter into employment in Montenegro, writes Pobjeda, a daily.
The Ministry of Education has confirmed this info and explained that the National Council in July adopted the program for testing foreigners’ knowledge of Montenegrin, upon the initiative of this Faculty.
The Faculty itself will conduct this procedure based on the law, which doesn’t mean other institution can’t do it, that is, it will need to submit the proposal for the program of testing the Montenegrin language knowledge.
According to the Ministry of Education, the educational institutions were not allowed to conduct these testing procedures before, but now the Faculty of Montenegrin Language will be doing it under the Law on Foreigners.
