A water and herbal tea bottling plant to be opened
The director of the Coastal Water Supply company Goran Jevric says that water delivery in July was by 19% higher than in the same period last year. According to him, it is an indicator of another record-breaking tourist season. Therefore, Jevric believes the company will have excellent financial results.
In an interview with Dnevne Novine, Jevric announces new projects of the coastal water supplier, including the construction of a water bottling plant from Bolje Sestre spring. The plant is planned to produce freshly brewed organic herbal tea as well.
Jevric explains that a feasibility study for the plant is being conducted. Thus, in addition to new jobs, Montenegro will get two new brands, Jevric says.
Asked about new projects in terms of water supply, Jevric says signing the contract on designing new 11km long pipeline from the Jaz beach to Tivat. This second phase of the regional water supply system will contribute to better service in Tivat, Kotor and Herceg Novi.
Asked about the company’s loans the government provided guarantees for, Jevric says it paid off €15m and that additional €2m is to be paid by the end of the year. He explained that a loan taken out from Abu Dhabi Fund has been early repaid, thanks to a favourable borrowing arrangement with Erste Bank.
He also mentions the water export project and the design of a pipeline for tanker filling for that purpose. All these development projects will be financed by the Coastal Water Supply from its own revenues thanks to positive business results.
