Promotion of the tourist offer of Montenegro in the Chinese city of Guangzhou
The National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, in cooperation with Turkish Airlines and the tourism industry, will present the tourism offer of the destination at the China International Tourism Industry Expo – CITIE, held from August 30 to September 1 in Guangzhou, China .
On the first day of the fair, the all-day Balkan Roadshow program organised by Turkish Airlines was held for Chinese tour operators and the media. Under this program Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina presented themselves as attractive tourist destinations for Chinese tourists. Visitors were also able to find out more about current airline travel and visa facilitation for Chinese tourists.
According to the National Turism Organisation, Montenegro has seen significant growth in the last few years in terms of tourism traffic from the Chinese market.
“In the past year, about 43 000 Chinese tourists visited Montenegro, which represent an increase of 80 percent compered to 2017. The positive trend continued this year and by the end of June around 32 000 Chinese tourists visited Montenegro, which is over 100 percent compared to the same period last year” said the representatives from NTO.
They added that good results, were contributed by quality regional cooperation in terms of promotion, visa facilitation, good airline connections with numerous European destinations, as well as improving the offer of high-class hotels.
Guangzhou is China’s third largest city, after Shanghai and Beijing with a population of 14 million. “Montenegro Adventures”, “Montenegro Tourist Service”, “Grand Travel” and “Montenegro Escape Tours” are also presenting their offer at CITIE.
