PM Marković at Miločer Development Forum: More responsible attitude towards the environment

“Education, but also a severe punitive policy, is important for a more responsible attitude towards the environment”, Prime Minister Duško Marković said at the 24th Regional Miločer Development Forum in Cetinje.

“The polluter must be punished regardless of whether he is an individual or a company.” Prime Minister noted at the panel “Ecology – Regulation, Education and Business”.

“The environment was one of the few issues on which consensus was reached back in 1991” the Prime Minister stressed. “Most citizens understand the importance of protecting the environment, but this is contrary to what we see every day around us. That’s worrying” said Prime Minister.

PM Marković pointed out that the Government is spending over EUR 50 million for the rehabilitation of black ecological points in Montenegro.
He also referred to the construction of the motorway Bar – Boljare and said the motorway was the project of a century, but that it should not and would not permanently devastate the environment.

Prime Minister Marković also said that he has been satisfied with the Government’s work in the previous year.

“We expect the final results of economic growth for 2018 soon and it will reach 5%. This growth is followed by all the positive elements of our economic and fiscal policy,” PM Marković said at the Miločer Development Forum in Cetinje.
