NATO membership sealed Montenegrin sovereignty
Montenegro has sealed its sovereignty and independence by becoming a member of NATO, former Yugoslav foreign minister Budimir Loncar said in an interview with Pobjeda.
According to Loncar, Montenegro has freed itself from mortgages of the past and small illusions in order to gain speed in its integration processes and development.
“I think Montenegro is moving in the right direction and it is very successful on its path,” he said. Loncar also said there was no better alternative for the Western Balkan countries that the EU, although the Union was experiencing problems.
