Serbia has taken the leading position from Mozambique and become first in the world in terms of foreign direct investment, according to Financial Times (FT).
According to the most recent 2019 rankings published by specialist FT service, Serbia is at the top of the ranking with an index of 11.92 points, which is 1.33 index points higher than last year.
According to these data, Serbia attracted 107 foreign direct investment projects in 2018, or 26 more than in 2017, an increase of almost one third.
“Serbia with a rating of 11.92 attracts almost 12 times more greenfield foreign direct investment than might be expected from an economy of its size,” Tanjug reports.
