Montenegro attractive thanks to investments in tourism
Montenegro offers a stable and safe environment and that thanks to the large investments in tourism, transport and energy, it has become an attractive and interesting destination, minister of sustainable development and tourism Pavle Radulovic said at a panel within the Global Citizen Forum at Sveti Stefan.
Radulovic pointed out that one of the development opportunities was implementation of the programme of acquiring economic citizenship.
“A well-designed, competitive and transparent programme, with a rigorous verification process for applicants, can bring numerous benefits to Montenegro, primarily financial resources that can be used for development projects primarily in the north of the country, as well as job creation and more balanced regional development,” he added.
Radulovic called to mind that six eminent companies responded to government’s call for proposing concepts of economic citizenship programmes that can be successful in Montenegro.
“On the basis of the received proposals, the commission will prepare a draft programme proposal that will be submitted to the government for adoption,” the minister said.
In addition to Radulovic, Julia Onslou-Col, global migration manager at PWC Valerie Wolf from the International Centre for the Development of Laws on Migration, and Kim Marsh, vice president of Exiger.
Minister Radulovic also had a number of bilateral meetings at the sidelines of the forum.
