Montenegro Airlines expects first commercial flights in June
Montenegro Airlines (MA) expects to have the first commercial flights, to destinations in the region, in June.
Montenegro’s flag carrier mentioned in a recent statement that in light of the latest measures against the COVID-19 pandemic provided by the national coordination body, the first flights are expected to fly in June and the first flights would be regional operations.
– Then, in the next month, flights to our other destinations would also be reinstated, of course, provided that flights to those countries are allowed – MA said.
Commercial passenger flights in Montenegro stopped on March 16, except for the announced arrival of Montenegrin citizens.
On March 16 the airline suspended all commercial flight operations as a part of the mass airline grounding in Europe.
Though Montenegro was the last European country to report a positive coronavirus case, the flight suspensions took place following the imposition of strict travel restrictions to the country.
