The Montenegrin economy has the highest growth rate in the region
The Competitiveness Council adopted the Report on the Implementation of the Economic Reform Program (PER) in six months, which showed that the growth rate of the Montenegrin economy is the highest in the region.
According to preliminary data from the Bureau of Statistics of Montenegro, the real growth rate of the Montenegrin economy in the first quarter of this year was 3% and in the meantime, the data on growth of 3.2% in the second quarter was published.
Prime Minister Dusko Markovic said that we have the reason to be satisfied adding that it is the highest growth rate in the region.
The report indicates that strong economic growth has impacted job growth in the country, as well as reducing unemployment.
Thus, the average number of employees in the first six months was 201,131 or 8.9% more than in the same period last year.
It is alleged that the Council also considered Information on the positioning of Montenegro in the Economic Freedom of the World Report 2019, Fraser Institute, Information on the credit rating of Montenegro by Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s, as well as Information on the positioning of Montenegro in the Global Competitiveness Report 2019 , World Economic Forum.
