“Mimosa festival” in Herceg Novi
While the north of Montenegro is still under the snow, people on the coast of Montenegro have the opportunity to participate so called “Mimosa festival” in Herceg Novi. The mimosa flower , which blossoms at the end of the winter will be the central figure of the celebration. The bright mimosa flower signals that Spring will come soon.
This year will be held the 50th anniversary Mimosa Festival. The rich program starts on February 1st and ends on March 23rd. During February and March the visitors will be able to enjoy concerts, wine, fish , exhibitions and so many other cultural events such as Days of Norwey, days of Turkey, Days of Italy, Days of Germany, Days of Slovenia, Days of Finland, Days of Poland, etc.
The central event of this famous celebration will be the concert of the regional star Zdravko Colic which will starts tomorow at 9 p.m.
The festival is sponsored by the regional governments and local businesses and is free.
