A love story: Travel Channel films Montenegro
Organized by the , a three-member Travel Channel team led by Jonathan Legg, is staying in Montenegro from 8 to 12 May to make an episode for the “Road Less Traveled” series.
The idea for an episode in Montenegro originated from the author and co-producer of the series, Jonathan Legg, during his first visit to the country last summer.
Encouraged by the legends of Don Quixote and Dulcine, the great love of Pava and Ahmet Pasha, which is a Montenegrin version of the story of Romeo and Juliet, Skocidjevojka and the like, Legg intends to make a tourist story about Montenegro, including unique places to visit, traditional cuisine, cultural curiosities – but with a twist – all told through the prism of legendary love stories.
Over the last two days, the Travel Channel’s team visited Herceg Novi, Perast and Ulcinj, went to Cetinje, Njeguši and Kotor today, and will visit Podgorica, Kolašin and Bijelo Polje in the following days, pursuing the love story of Ahmet and Pava.
The show is broadcast on AWE TV in the United States (16.2 million viewers), Travel Channel International in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (14.7 million viewers), YLE Finland, TVB Hong Kong and FirstHD Russia, which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the importance of their filming in Montenegro.
In order to support the filming, the NTO of Montenegro is cooperating with Turkish Airllines, local tourist organizations of Herceg Novi, Budva, Kotor, Podgorica, Cetinje and Bianca Resort and Spa.
