Andrey Igorevich Melnichenko’s sailing yacht “A” sailed into the marina of Porto Montenegro.
The yacht is very large – 143 meters or 469 ft with a beam of 25 meters or 82 ft. The yacht’s value is widely reported in the media to be over EUR 400 million or US$ 500 million. She has 8 decks. She features a 1 ft thick glass underwater observation area located in the keel.
She accommodates 20 guests and a crew of 54.
The largest sailing yacht in the world was designed by Frenchman Philippe Starck and built by German Naval Yards, Nobiskrug.
The cost of this luxury vessel is estimated at half a billion euros, and the Russian billionaire gave it to his wife, Alexandra, a Serbian model and former member of the Serbian pop group Models.
According to Forbes’s 2018 list, Melynichenko is the 88th richest man in the world, while he is considered the seventh richest Russian.
