German businessmen: We’ll strengthen relations with a small, but beautiful country
President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, had e meeting in Berlin with the representatives of the Eastern German Economy Committee, the strongest promoter and advocate of representative of interests in the Eastern European countries.
President of the Management Board of OAOEV, Michael Harms, expressed his satisfaction with the encounter with president Đukanović, stating that economic cooperation is the way for the improvement of bilateral relations between the two countries.
“Our task is to strengthen the relations with the small, but beautiful country that has enormous potential”, said Harms. He also pointed out the priorities of the forthcoming cooperation: education of young people and formation of professional staff, strengthening regional cooperation and digital development.
President Đukanović acquainted members of the Committee, representatives of the renowned business chambers and German companies with political and economic trends in Montenegro. He emphasized dynamic development of Montenegro, stable economic growth, and high percentage of FDI participation in GDP from more than 100 countries of the world.
“Our objective is stable economic growth, higher life quality of our citizens. That’s why we are committed to reforms and the rule of law, knowing that it’s a fundamental point of good reputation of a country, something that makes it attractive for investments”, said the President.
Carefully planned investment projects in the domain of infrastructure, energy, tourism and food production, along with structural reforms, lead to the creation of inspiring environment for foreign investors. The President welcomed responsibility and good results of German companies in Montenegro. He agreed with the priorities of German businessmen.
Representatives of German economy were especially interested in the possibility of investing in energy sector, particularly in the field of green energy production, industry and digitalization sector. They pointed out the importance of regional dimension, where Montenegro takes part through the Berlin process.
Delegation of the Eastern German Economy Committee will visit Montenegro next week.
