First American college in Montenegro to be established
President of Mediterranean University, DuskoKnezevic PhD, paid an official visit to the prestigious University of Girne American University in Cyprus, which is a part of University Education Group (UEG).
The President of Mediterranean University met SerhatAkpinar PhD, the founder and the owner of the University whose campus in Cyprus is attended by around 20,000 students.
Dusko Knezevic and President of Girna American University signed the Memorandum of Cooperation, and special attention was paid to the establishment of American College within the Mediterranean University.
The plan is to carry out international studies which are completely in accordance with the highest quality worlds education standards and programs recognized in the USA education system. The establishment of this college will provide many new possibilities for Montenegrin students, as well as position Mediterranean University as an international educational center.
The important issues that were discussed during the meeting were also: the exchange of students and teaching staff, the implementation of joint scientific-research projects, organization of scientific meetings and conferences etc.
Girne American University is one on the most prestigious world universities established in 1985. It provides high standards of education for the students of over 103 different countries on tree different continents. The university group consists of ten faculties and ten schools which are positioned among the best higher education institutions in the world. Academic programs of Girne American University are acrredited and recognized by: IACBE, ASIIN, EUR-ACE, EDEXCEL, EAQUALS, UNWTO and many other international institutions and organisations.
Except the president of University Mediterranean, the delegation of University Mediterranean consisted of Andjela Jaksic Stojanovic, PhD, dean of Faculty of Visual Arts and Petar Gazivoda, member of Atlas Group Board.
