Expecting a great tourism season
Montenegro has been having a constant growth of tourist visits and revenue during the last years, and this season we are expecting a revenue of around billion EUR, said director of National Tourist Organization Zeljka Radak-Kukavcic.
“When it comes to financial effects, I would like to remind you, that according to the data of Central Bank, Montenegro earned around 870 million EUR from tourism, and we expect to jump over that number this year”, Radak-Kukavcic said.
Negative campaign does not affect Russians
It is interesting to note that, despite the negative campaign in Russia, citizens of this country visited Montenegro in the first four months of this year in a number that is 24% higher than that of last year.
“The growth is based on pre-season and post-season. We have a duty as hosts to make tourists’ stay in Montenegro as pleasurable as possible”, Radak-Kukavicic said.
