De Niro at Sveti Stefan: Being a global citizen means being a part of the world
Famous actor Robert de Niro participates in the Global Citizen Forum at Sveti Stefan. During the panel on climate changes, he has said that the world needs to unite against natural disasters.
As he’s said, being a global citizen means being a part of the world.
“People who think positive will succeed. Everyone has a responsibility towards others to make a better world for everyone. Leadership is not a leadership if nobody does anything,” he adds.
De Niro speaks together with PM of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne at the panel. He referred to the problem of the hurricane that hit the area.
The actor mentioned the harm hurricanes caused, pointing out the need for the world to be united when this problem is at stake.
“Hurricanes and earthquakes cause the catastrophes that change many people’s lives. Barbuda is one example. More than three trillion dollars is needed to recover from these storms. We are one world that can restore the world,” said De Niro.
Before the presentation in the forum, the actor met with Montenegrin prime minister Dusko Markovic.
By organizing the fourth edition of the forum, Montenegro has the honour to gather world leaders, members of royal families and philanthropists. The event is held under the auspices of Arton Capitale. This prestigious event was previously held in Toronto, Dubai and Monaco.
