About 73 500 tourists in Budva
About 73 500 tourists are currently staying in Budva, which is several percent more than last year, according to the director of the local tourist organization Mladen Franović.
“Budva is full. This is the peak of the season and this is what we expected” Franovic said to the Television of Montenegro.
He added that among the guests in the capital of tourism, the most numerous are those from the countries of the former Yugoslavia but most of the guests are still coming from Russia.
Franovic also states that Budva has a much better tax collection this year.
“We have collected about two million euros, and we expect more by the end of the year,” Franovic said.
Announcing a series of events, Franovic says that Budva expects a good continuation of the season.
According to data from local tourist organizations, from other cities on the Montenegrin coast there are 38 000 tourists in Herceg Novi , about 16,000 guests in Bar, while about 8,000 tourists reside in Tivat, while more than 50,000 guests are staying in Ulcinj.
