7 days exploring Montenegro, Albania and Corfu by superyacht

7 days exploring Montenegro, Albania and Corfu by superyacht

Day 1/7  Tivat, Montenegro

2810-1-k

Board your yacht at superyacht heaven Porto Montenegro in Tivat. The destination marina has myriad gourmet restaurants on site, a spa and an acclaimed beach club. There is also a maritime museum where you can tour a submarine. Take some time to stroll the luxury shops and superyacht scenes — before settling in on board your yacht for cocktails, and to admire a stunning sunset over the bay. Enjoy dinner in one of the fabulous restaurants on shore.

Day 2/7 Zelenika

2810-2-k

You’ll anchor in the Bay of Kotor and head out for an early tender ride to see the bay in its stillness, the water like glass. Visit the island that’s home to the postcard-perfect church, Our Lady of the Rocks. In Morinj, you can dine at Catovica Mlini, a great rustic restaurant accessible by tender.

Day 3/7 Kotor

2810-3-k

Approaching Kotor, there’s a fantastic view of the mountains surrounding the bay, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Stari Mlini, an old mill converted into a five-star restaurant with some of the best local food. Hike up the hill above town to absorb the views, stretching far out into the bay. Stop for a coffee and a piece of local cake called krempita. Your captain can arrange a trip to the former royal capital of Cetinje.

Day 4/7 Budva

2810-4-k

Leave early for 2,500-year-old Budva and stop on the way at the Blue Grotto just outside the bay. Budva offers many shopping and fine dining opportunities. Have lunch at Demizana just beyond the city walls and visit the luxurious Hotel Astoria for dessert. Do try local Montenegrin wine, especially the red. When the sun goes down, Budva hosts some amazing nightlife in huge, open-air clubs — get ready to dance until dawn.

Day 5/7 Bar

2810-5-k

While your yacht is refueling in Bar, visit Stari Bar, an open-air museum. If you’re a nature lover, arrange a visit to Lake Skadar, the largest bird reserve in the Balkans, or visit the palace of King Nikola. You’ll sail overnight to Saranda, Albania, where the Adriatic and Ionian Seas meet.

Day 6/7 Saranda, Albania

2810-6-k

Day 7/7 Corfu, Greece

2810-7-k

Twelve miles from Saranda is Corfu, with its crystal clear water and spectacular beaches, Greek food and wine are renowned and there are many tavernas in which to partake of both as your charter ends. Perhaps extend your stay ashore to sample the architectural and cultural differences of an island that has been ruled by three different empires.
